I cannot get mongod to run. I have uninstalled and reinstalled mongo twice, tried to remove the socket file mongodb-27017.lock, emptied the folder in usr/local/var/mongodb. I am not sure what else I can do. |

Thank you, Nick. I will try those options and move to the mongodb-user group if I need further assistance.

KGrastorf The error in your screenshot indicates that mongod is finding WiredTiger storage engine files within the /data/db directory. This is the default dbpath that is used if one is not specified. To use the config file that is created as part of a Homebrew install, you would need to run:
To start from scratch, you could simply create a new folder in your home directory, and start mongod manually with the --dbpath option:
From your responses, I do not see anything to indicate a bug in the MongoDB server. For MongoDB-related support discussion please post on the mongodb-user group or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag. A question like this involving more discussion would be best posted on the mongodb-user group. -Nick | ||

Nick, there is nothing in the mongodb folder. I cleared it out. As for directory being manipulated by another program while mondog was running, I don't think so.
Thanks,

KGrastorf If you can upload the WiredTiger.wt and WiredTiger.turtle files from your /data/db directory, we can attempt to repair them. Additionally, I'd like to confirm:
Thanks, Nick |
