We use $sort in most of our APIs, so this probably makes sense. |

The find command (under development in SERVER-15176) will accept a parameter called sort. Although the server will continue to accept OP_QUERY style find operations with the $orderby option, the find command sort parameter makes this work unnecessary. Closing as Won't Fix. |
