Yum installing the mongodb-org repo for 3.6 fails when it downloads mongodb-org-tools This only happens when the .repo is left with $releasever which results to "7". After I manually changed the .repo to be "7Server" the download worked Seems related to SERVER-26564

I've rebuilt the repo metadata, it should work now. Can you please do sudo yum clean all and try to install the packages again? |
