README mentions that at least Python 2.6 is needed for building (Scons). Scons homepage mentions Python 1.5.2 as lower requirement and recommends at least 2.5 for "speed improvements". I successfully built (and tested) on Python 2.5.4. SConstruct mentions some 2.5-related cases, but the 2.6 requirement should be changed to lessen the confusion. |
