When we are standing up a new replica set using Chef to automate the process, one of the final steps is that of loading bootstrap data into collections via the mongoimport tool. Without the tools supporting --ssl, it is a bit more challenging, as the service needs to be stopped on all members, reconfigured to disable SSL, restarted, find where the primary moved to, point mongoimport to that member and load the bootstrap data, then another round of stop/reconfigure/start. |
