Some users have requested a command (or two) to pause and resume replication without otherwise locking the database. |

Databases need to be loaded which aren't; I'll take a look at the code and see if there is anything else. The main difference is the lock fsync+lock takes. |

There are use cases more than fsync+lock which this was created for. This is for the command that users can run, just not for automatic fsync+lock needs. |
