Sweet stuff Eliot,

I have spent the last forthnight researching what database I could use for a device that I am building. On Friday, I started on Mongo and I must say, the work that you guys have done is a few steps ahead of the rest of the other solution. And it is not just your marketing material that leads me to that conclusion. Your product is great FINISH AND KLAAR!

The one question I have is; besides the GPL option, what other licensing options do you have for OEMs working on the embedded db space. I am in South Africa.

@khosi - it already is compiled with gcc, so its just a matter of getting all the pieces together.

Eliot,

Would the lack of Android support extend to Android not being able to run a precompiled .a or .so file? i.e. suppose I compile MongoDB on a GNU C/C++ compiler, would that compilation be able to run on Android, say as a replacement for SQLite?

If not, what would it take to do so?

This is not supported yet - but something we want to do.
Any help appreciated?
