If you run an addShard command and give it a host with the port 27017, but in the replica set configuration the port isn't set explicitly, addShard thinks the two host aren't the same and returns an error. Relevant code is in addShard in s/grid.cpp |

In 2.0 you can no longer get hosts without a port in your replica set config since it auto-adds the default port if you don't provide it. This makes this fix unnecessary. |
