Donut chart showing the percentage of elections due to election timeouts that caused a primary to step down. We will take the number of stepdowns caused by seeing a higher term and subtract out the number of elections due to catchup takeovers, priority takeovers, and step ups, since those election reasons would also cause a node to step down due to seeing a higher term. This will leave the number of stepdowns that happened after another node ran for election due to its election timeout triggering, which we can compare with the total number of election timeouts. |
