 Description

it will be great to have the ability to execute the command with the option not to pass the password...for example:

db.auth( <username>)

then a prompt will be displayed for password. This will make sure anybody near by can't see the password visibly in the screen.

Hi emad_mousa

Looking again, this is actually a duplicate of SERVER-3788 and I'd suggest watching that ticket going forward. In the meantime, you can use the workaround Kev suggested in SERVER-24391.

Kind regards,
Kelsey

Hi emad_mousa,

Epics are a tool we use to group and track tickets for prioritization and scheduling in JIRA. Currently, we've bundled this ticket with a few other small requests to enable us to schedule as a block against larger projects in our backlog. Please continue to watch this ticket for updates.

Kind regards,
Kelsey
