| Description |

Currently there is no way to find out how many documents were written with $out or how many were merged/ignored/etc. with $merge - it would be nice to have a way to get that back from the pipeline. |

$merge is not easily verifiable without this, which will cause the operation to be avoided. |

I split off the logline request into SERVER-49954 - this ticket should remain to track returning information back in the command result. |
