Class UUID has 21 friends as of this writing. This requirement that a generated type has to be mentioned in a basic building block type like UUID is a design flaw we can fix pretty easily. |

I'd rather discuss here than in a doc off to the side. It's not that hard a problem, so I think we can discuss efficiently. This is IMO a more durable and discoverable record than a doc (I don't have access to that doc). |

This is also true for ChunkRange, but with fewer cases. |
