I wanted to convert stand alone mongodb to replica, so I followed this tutorial https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/backup-with-filesystem-snapshots/. I got this problem: Using default stripesize 64.00 KiB. when I typed: lvcreate --size 100M --snapshot --name mdb-snap01 /dev/vg0/mongodb What is volume group describe for in there? Help me, pls! |

Those messages might indicate that the name of the vg0 ends in some invisible character (one or more blanks present) or you might be trying to mount a single partition instead of mounting a logical volume that captures everything. In any event, I do not see anything pointing to a MongoDB server bug so I will go ahead and close this ticket. The SERVER project is for bugs and feature suggestions for the MongoDB server. As this ticket does not appear to be a bug, I will now close it. If you need further assistance troubleshooting, I encourage you to ask our community by posting on the mongodb-user group or on Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag. Regards, |
