When installing to a custom directory on D, some files are exported to this directory, some others to default path: C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\4.2

It felt a bit confusing.

Hi, you're right sorry, I got confused by this window, I didn't read it carefully enough and thought it was the installation path.

Sorry for the loss of time...

yvan.richer@gmail.com - To me, this looks like you set up the installation of the software to C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\4.2, but it then ran with a data and log path of D:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\4.2. These paths are separately configurable in the MSI installer. The software installation path is set in the main Setup panel, and the data/log path is in the Service Configuration panel. Is it possible that you configured one to C: and the other to D:? I just installed the MSI locally with both paths set to Z:\install and I did not notice any files produced in C:\install.
