| Steps To Reproduce: | It's hard for me to give repro steps for this that don't involve using Data Lake as the shell does validate the provided BSON on insert. If it helps, here is a copy of the BSON document we returned to the shell: binaryFile.bson |

| Description |
|
Data Lake sent the shell a BSON document that contained embedded nulls in the field names. This is invalid BSON, and it caused the shell to seg fault. |

Hi devin.hilly, can you provide the steps to reproduce this issue? A stacktrace would also help us investigate the issue. |
