The MongoDB Homebrew Tap README suggests a default install will:
However, this is no longer true with MongoDB 4.4 where the MongoDB Database Tools (mongodump, mongoimport, ...) are not included in the standard server installation. I just tested with 4.4 GA and the only files in /usr/local/Cellar/mongodb-community/4.4.0/bin are:
The README should include information on how to install the Developer Tools, ideally via Homebrew rather than the MongoDB Download Centre. |

I just noticed there is a pull request in progress to update the Homebrew README. The following worked to install the latest version of the Database Tools:
However, installing a 4.4 server does not automatically include the database tools as suggested in the README text I quoted in the issue description, so I think there is still improvement needed. Regards, |
