The spinFor helper could be subject to time discontinuities and not perform any significant work. I'm not sure if that could result in measuring 0 elapsed time in nanoseconds, but I want to rule that out as an option. Do something similar to the OperationCpuTimerTest that sleeps on a different thread and busy waits for it to complete. |
