We were hoping to do it all the time. The caches are pretty generously sized. It could have significant throughput improvements for patch builds, particularly those that run different compile phases in parallel. It could also accelerate commit queue builds since presumably you patch built whatever you are about to send to the commit queue. |

This would be optional in some way? Would it be detrimental to always do this because the cache will get full very quickly and lose its hit percentage?
