This might be a documentation "bug" rather than a software bug: When using mongorestore against the "slave side" of a replica pair, mongorestore happily works away but the server is full of "exception userassert:not master" errors and no data is loaded. I couldn't figure out a way to tell mongorestore about both sides of the replica pair so it'd "do the right thing". |

All tools support repl-pairs with --host left,right. |

It probably makes sense to allow you to give it a pair and have it write to the master |
