 Description

While reviewing SERVER-56562, it was pointed out that tests that sort on _id when querying the buckets collection may sometimes get results in an unexpected order due to the nature of the generated _id field in the schema. The tests would be more stable if we sorted on control.min._id instead in most cases. The exception to this rule would be timeseries_out_of_order.js.

The sort on control.min._id proposed in this ticket was implemented for timeseries_collation.js in SERVER-56562 and can be considered a potential solution to the problem described in SERVER-55331.

Most likely a duplicate of SERVER-55331
