The goal of this task is to evaluate the performance of the new workload on a slightly modified version of master that includes the where the part that notifies the Recipient of the moveChunk happens under the critical section.

This has been evaluated as part of SERVER-58414. The results show that notifying the recipient and waiting for it to refresh the collection metadata while the donor is holding the critical section increases the critical section time by 50%.

However, it is possible that this could be reduced by parallelizing the refreshes on the donor an recipient.
