 Description

Was looking for ssl binary for 4.2.15 at https://fastdl.mongodb.org/osx/mongodb-osx-ssl-x86_64-4.2.15.tgz. However, it's not made available.

Hi vnalluri@salesforce.com,

From MongoDB v4.0 and onwards, the macOS version began using the Mac Native SSL instead of OpenSSL, and the 4.0 binary should have had a package name which excludes "ssl" and includes the OSX -> macOS transition, i.e. mongodb-macos-x86_64-4.0.25.tgz. SERVER-35211 fixes this mistake in v4.2, so you may expect both MongoDB v4.0 and v4.2 for macOS to have been using Mac Native SSL.

Best,
Edwin

Hi vnalluri@salesforce.com,

You can find a full list of releases on our community release page including a download link for v4.2.15. It appears that the binary you specified which includes "ssl" in the filename does not exist among our releases.

Hope this helps!

Best,
Edwin
