We should have a file copy based initial sync test which ensures all FCV combinations work 1) downgrade to downgrade 2) upgrade to upgrade 3) downgrade to upgrade 4) upgrade to downgrade In production use, the source can be either FCV and the destination can also be either FCV (because sharded nodes start up in downgrade and non-sharded in upgrade) The passthroughs should handle cases 1 and 2, this ticket is for the mixed cases only. |
