| Description |
|
A mongos server asks the OS for its `hostname` and uses that as the name by which it will refer to itself in intracluster communications. In some situations this is inappropriate as the local `hostname` is not a name accessible from the other hosts in the cluster. So it has been requested that mongos provide some kind of parameter by which the effective hostname can be injected. Supporting HELP-25449. |
