| Description |

As a user I expect the --quiet flag to suppress messages unrelated to the programs input. Filing this ticket to have it double checked whether the deprecation message regarding the mongo shell is intentional or an oversight. |

Updating the fixversion since branching activities occurred yesterday. This ticket will be in rc0 when it’s been triggered. For more active release information, please keep an eye on #server-release. Thank you! |

Can we add a compiler flag that suppresses it? This breaks scripts. |

We got direction from Product that this message should be shown every time the shell is started, so that we keep reminding users to switch over until they do so. (See comment here.) |
