Initially limit was 4MB, then it was raised to 16MB in 2009. We are in 2021, we have better hardware, better network, bigger documents and competitors without 16MB limit. Don't you think it's time to make another X 4 increase to cover the next decade? |

Thank you for following up! I agree that the current messaging found on the JIRA Introduction page should motivate JIRA tickets on improvements and new feature requests. However, we've recently rerouted improvements and feature requests over to our UserVoice and only accept bug reports on our JIRA SERVER project. I understand that the inconsistency between our protocol and the text on the JIRA introduction page can be frustrating and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We're actioning on expediting the work needed to make this modification to alleviate this confusion. Best, |

Hi Edwin, I don’t think this should be closed. This is an extract from your Jira page: Which JIRA project should I use to report bugs or feature requests?

Thanks for your report. Please note that the SERVER project is for bugs for the MongoDB server. As this ticket appears to be an improvement request, I will now close it. You may submit improvements or feature requests on our Uservoice in the database category. If you need further assistance troubleshooting, I encourage you to ask our community by posting on the MongoDB Developer Community Forums. Best, |
