There are a number of tests in core/ which run full validation. For some of these tests, it's (likely) not necessary to do a full validation in order to demonstrate that the behavior being tested works correctly.
Furthermore, full validation often makes a test ineligible to run under certain suites. We should consider changing some of these tests to use "non full" validation on a case-by-case basis.
