| Description |
|
When BSON Column compression (PM-2278) is released new time-series data will be compressed with the new format. However, existing data will be left untouched. We could provide a mechanism for customers that explicitly opt-in to compress their existing data to reduce storage footprint. |

Unsure whether this is a QW or mini-project, so it should be time-boxed. |
