In this ticket, we're just planning to change the oplog application mode from "initial sync" to "normal" since Shard Merge acquires a consistent snapshot of the donor's data. There might be relevant changes to oplog application in a future design after we can merge history. |

When you start working on this, I'm curious about the code changes you make. It's related to my interest in simplifying the way we generate oplog operations for multi-document transactions and unifying it with the way we generate the entries for lone write operations. |
