We have replica set with little over 1TB size. After node crash the server re-validates the data and during this period provides practically zero useful progress. I have been waiting for 10 hours with very few messages about some "files" whose count does not match the files I have in the mongo data folder. No progress indicator like "10 out of 100". It's extremely painful to wait without any idea how long it's gonna take. The verbose logs for WT also don't improve this situation much. They show tons of operations (yaay we are not stuck) but again zero indication of progress that would allow me to extrapolate when the job might be finished. |

Thanks for your report. In order to investigate this issue as a potential bug in MongoDB, we will need some diagnostic data from your node. Firstly, what is the topology of your cluster? Is this node running within a replica set, or is this a standalone node? Next, would you please archive (tar or zip) the mongod.log files and the $dbpath/diagnostic.data directory (the contents are described here) and upload them to this support uploader location? Files uploaded to this portal are visible only to MongoDB employees and are routinely deleted after some time. Best, |
