Generate all tasks for !RHEL 8 and !RHEL 8 (all feature flags) variants so there's a consistent view of history at the task-level. This work will allow us to get better insights into the stepback latency for mainline tasks |

robert.guo There might be a bit of UX pain with patch builds in that model, since people would have to know to prefer some other variant instead of the one they plan to patch on. I think david.bradford might have been working on something similar so might also have some ideas too. |

brian.samek yeah I'm imagining a dedicated variant that runs the generator tasks, which would just be 2 tasks for the 2 required Linux variants. The remaining tasks would continue to be cron/batch based. |

robert.guo I'm not sure how this will interact with crons or batch time. Would the idea be that each variant would have a generator, and then the remaining tasks would be activated by crons or batch time? |
