 Description

Currently mongod doesn't record the max wiredTiger cache size in the FTDC or serverStatus.
It would be useful to add this information especially for when mongod is running inside a container and therefore the wt cache size (when is not set) is not strictly related to the host RAM size

Actually the wt cache is already recorded:

  • FTDC under ss wt cache maximum bytes configured
  • In the serverStatus db.serverStatus().wiredTiger.cache["maximum bytes configured"]

Sorry for the noise
