 Description

Stacktraces from CI runs will be written to a file as part of SERVER-61491. We should have resmoke check for stack traces at the end of tests and run the symbolizer if the stack trace file exists and we're running in Evergreen.

AC:

  • Print symbolizer output as test logs
  • need to make sure that resmoke only runs one instance of the symbolizer at a time across its jobs

We're reducing the scope of this ticket to include only running the symbolizer for resmoke fixtures and not shell fixtures. Additional debugging effort is needed to understand why the shell fixtures are hanging and there are no available resources at the moment. We hope that future evidence from Evergreen runs will shed light on the root cause.

A cloned ticket will be created for the shell work and linked here.

robert.guo can you review this ticket and let us know what else needs to be done here? Thank you!

robert.guo suggests that we should make it a part of the db-contrib-tool

As a follow-up, we should file a followup DAG ticket to make build baron tool leverage this
