Retrying an aborted transaction is allowed on shardsvrs because mongos is allowed to send retries on targeting errors. Shardsvrs running in serverless mode are run without a mongos however, and so should error on an attempt to retry an aborted transaction as mongods do when not running as a shardsvr. |
