Customers need to be able to have 2 sets of logs. One for their internal use and troubleshooting. The other that they can send to MDB Support. Current capabilities are such that the MDB core server can only perform redacted or non-redacted....not both at the same which would be a much needed improvement to be able to send data to MDB support for quicker support ticket resolution. |

Understood. My question is whether instead of having the server produce two files, would it make sense to produce a supported tool that does the same redaction as the current in-server redecation. |

There is a tool called: Fruit Salad, but it is not officially supported. Many of out larger paid customers do not like this tool for that reason.(no support). If there is an issue where a field was missed, then they just sent MDB support PII on accident. https://github.com/rueckstiess/fruitsalad

Could this be accomplished by providing a post-facto redaction tool that uses the same logic (ideally the same code) as in-server redaction? |
