It apparently is not supported even though it accepts the flag, it does not generate the .dwo. |

It does not generate the .dwo because it does not need to: macOS builds implicitly in a split dwarf mode, where the dwarf info resides in the object files, and is accumulated into a dsym by the dsymutil utility. So there is no point to using .dwo files. |
