After some discussion, we decided it would be preferable to redact directly from BSON objects rather than walking trees. We then discovered this functionality exists already, implemented as BSONObj::redact and tested here. I believe this is sufficient for our current needs. Closing this ticket as "gone away" and linking to the original redaction ticket unless we decide we need something more. |
