As the command payload size of a replSetHeartbeat is known, as is the size of the ReplSetHeartbeatResponse that is returned it may be possible to use these along with the request/response time to roughly capture the throughput between replica set members. Having this information available could help with estimating transfer times of a certain amount of data (ex: an initial sync between nodes) |
