| Description |
|
Our third party sources uses pre-generated configs. Normally this is a manual process to go to a the oldest supported OS and ARCH and generate configs. This is time consuming.
The other downside is that now that we have switched to v4, our configs could be non-optimal as they were generated with v3, and have not been able to config themselves according to new features in the new compilers.
There should be a task which will generate the config, and save the diff as a downloadable file. The config generation scripts should also be updated to document the specific platform and task ID it was generated on, and store this info into a text file which lives in the platform config files. |
