 Description

MongoBD must have encryption/ decryption functions so that user can store data in encrypted way in document field. We need something similar to

Encryption at Rest will be available in MongoDB 3.2. Closing this ticket as a duplicate of SERVER-17991.

See http://docs.mongodb.org/master/release-notes/3.1-dev-series/

To do this well you really need key management, which is complex in a cluster.
Might be better to do in the application.
