After further discussion, a mongodb22-10gen package isn't the right approach to keep a specific version of the MongoDB server installed and this should instead be resolved by SERVER-4808.
Some current options for maintaining a specific version (examples with Ubuntu Server):
1) Create a local package repository so you can control which versions are available:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LocalAptGetRepository?highlight=%28%5CbCategoryPackageManagement%5Cb%29
2) Use the pinning/holding feature of your package manager to set a maximum or specific version of a package to install:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PinningHowto#Introduction_to_Holding_Packages
For example:
|
echo mongodb-10gen hold | dpkg --set-selections
|
Note that for Ubuntu you want to "hold" the mongodb-10gen package.
