Problem StatementThe new Red Hat certification guide introduces UBI9 base images (see the compatibility matrix). For the time-being, the UBI8 is fully supported but we should think about providing and testing UBI9 images at some point. This work might be quite broad in its scope as we'll need to provide RHEL 9 RPMs for it. |

Received the response from Red Hat:
RHEL 8.10 support ends in 2029. Seems like we have plenty of time. |

We're not sure when RH's certification program will start requiring UBI9 (I don't anticipate that it'll be very soon) |
