Since it is difficult to exhaust every path every diagnostic command may go down (and whether the paths will include acquiring a GlobalLock), these changes proactively label diagnostic commands as immediate priority. Thus, even if the GlobalLock isn't acquired today, if it some day is, there is a safeguard in place to ensure the operations don't block trying to acquire a ticket for the GlobalLock. |
