charlie.swanson@mongodb.com I feel very qualified to take this on given how much of the queryStats LRU cache shenanigans and other cache related server status metrics I implemented!

maddie.zechar@mongodb.com if you'd like a two-for-one special, consider doing this at the same time as or immediately after your relate ticket to test the behavior of large queries. This ticket is supposed to be something like "copy text from the design document into the codebase for future readers" - I don't know if many other users of the LRU cache have realized/thought about this.
