| Description |
|
As part of promotion of a RS to sharded cluster, there is a requirement that a former replica set node becomes a combo csrs/shard/router sharded cluster. Currently, a lot of the sharding state of a node is enabled at startup time though the use of startup arguments. This ticket is to figure out whether it is possible at all to enable the sharding state of a cluster at runtime (from disabled to enabled only) and if it is not possible to prescribe a way to do so as part of the upgrade/downgrade procedure. |
