Vector search uses the idl to generate the VectorSearchSpec for the $vectorSearch stage; we should use the IDL to generate a parallel SearchSpec for the $search stage. |

With a closer look, closing this as Won't Do. $search and $vectorSearch behave differently in that $search directly desugars into $internalSearchMongotRemote stage, which _does use the IDL. It looks to me like using the IDL for $search will add unnecessary complication because of the porting to $_internalSearchMongotRemote. |
