After downloading the newest version of libstdc++.6 I have MongoDB running on OpenIndiana 151a7. I do get the following error in the log
What would be needed to fix this? |

Planning for early next week. Would be great if you could download the RC and give it a try. Link to download is here: http://fastdl.mongodb.org/sunos5/mongodb-sunos5-x86_64-2.4.6-rc1.tgz |

paullryan This should be working in version 2.4.6, now in release candidate 1. See https://github.com/mongodb/mongo/commit/16fc6424eb4b556e148529dc26fb763dc4eca5b1 . |

There appears to be a basic implementation of ProcessInfo by Xinfeng Liu at https://github.com/xinfengliu/mongo/blob/f44ea1d88fd4b8b6c824051d0b9311fdffa2ce8f/src/mongo/util/processinfo_sunos5.cpp that may be a good starting point for this issue. Any thoughts on the level of potential degradation in performance for those of use on SmartOS or other illumos derivatives? Thanks for all the work on this great database. |

I'd be glad to help out, let me now if there is something I can do. |

mincore seems to be supported on solaris, so its mostly a matter of implementing the ProcessInfo interface for solaris and a lot of testing |
