If we increase the number of concurrent reads (currently just one) done in touch we can reduce the total time the command has to run by increasing disk utilization. We can even detect when the different files are on different devices. |

Given that there is no touch command for WT and we have no plans to improve the touch command for MMAP, closing this as won't fix. |
