Basically, anything we have which is an SCons Option which simply sets value in the Environment should eventually be migrated to a Varaible. The exception would be things like --lto, which are features, and vary in how they are configured per platform. In that case, we want to do the work for you. But things like --msvc-script, --host-arch, etc, should gradually be migrated to Variables. We should audit the existing Options and identify which should be migrated to variables. |
