| Description |

We save the --source argument even when a slave is started with a bogus (unparseable, unresolvable, or unreachable) --source argument, and then refuse to start a mongod whose --source disagrees with a stored one. Taken together, this sort of unduly punishes a simple typo. |

Note on behavior of a slave when the source argument doesn't match its last setting: If I start a slave with ./mongod --slave --dbpath ~/dbs/slave/ --port 27018 --source localhost:27017 and then I stop it and restart it with: ./mongod --slave --dbpath ~/dbs/slave/ --port 27018 --source localhost it says: Mon Jun 14 13:29:12 repl: --source localhost != localhost:27017 from local.sources collection |
